Toyota Land Cruiser 300 from Japan: Buyer RFQ Checklist

Land Cruiser 300 inquiries often look simple at first: model, color and a target price. In practice, the exact grade and market specification can change the entire sourcing route, cost and export feasibility.

A usable LC300 RFQ should identify the exact grade or specification, engine where relevant, steering requirement, quantity, final destination country and port if known, required timing, target buying budget and currency.

Color and interior should be treated as hard requirements only when they truly are. If a specific interior color, rear entertainment system, audio package, sunroof, wheel package or other option is mandatory, state that before sourcing starts.

The next gate is evidence. A screenshot or marketplace listing can be useful for discovery, but it should not be treated as secured inventory. The sourcing side should confirm whether the exact vehicle is actually obtainable now, the seller identity, the current price, how long the offer is valid and whether the vehicle can be exported under the intended transaction.

For a brand-new vehicle, it is especially important to separate domestic MSRP or advertised price from the real procurement cost. Dealer-related compulsory costs, domestic transport, paperwork, taxes or tax treatment, inspection evidence, export handling and payment or FX costs may all affect the final number.

The buyer should also state the preferred commercial basis if known. A vehicle-only Japan price is not directly comparable with a quotation that already includes inland logistics, export handling, ocean freight and insurance.

Destination compliance must be treated independently from Japan-side availability. A seller being able to supply a vehicle does not automatically guarantee that the vehicle can be registered in the destination market. Local import, homologation, age, emissions, tax and registration rules remain buyer-side items unless explicitly contracted otherwise.

A formal LC300 quote should therefore follow verification, not precede it. The quote should show the exact model and grade, quantity, currency, Incoterm or port basis, included and excluded costs, lead time, validity, payment terms and compliance caveats.

Once the buyer accepts, payment evidence should be matched to the buyer identity, quotation, currency and amount before procurement progresses. A paid or committed buyer order still does not justify an irreversible supplier payment without the agreed procurement approval step.

If your dealership has a live LC300 requirement, send one exact specification rather than a broad request for all available units. That gives the Japan side the best chance of returning a price and route that can actually be executed.

JPNentry can be used as an additional Japan-side buying route for a specific Land Cruiser 300 customer order. Submit model or chassis family, grade, quantity, destination, timing, budget, exterior and interior requirements, and required options to start route verification.
