Some of the hardest Japan purchases are not expensive because of the product. They are difficult because the item is offline, store-exclusive, time-limited, region-limited, or requires a local phone call.

Where normal proxy buying breaks down

Examples include in-person stationery releases, boutique music gear, fishing reel service parts, local hobby exclusives, multi-store bundling, and items that require staff to confirm compatibility or stock.
